Map and Data Analysis
GIS software makes it a lot easier to generate information-rich resources that can be used for analysis. The sample file Hitchin.aed calls for an analysis of land use in Hitchin, an exercise used for GCSE coursework. This viewlet shows how to interrogate the data.

Similarly, a map can be linked to data gathered locally. In the sample file microclimate.aed, a year 7 class has collected data about windspeed and temperature from around a school. The interactivity of the map allows the data to be shown in different configurations for subsequent analysis.
