Definition
A portmanteau word, Podcasting is the name given to putting audio files onto the web in a form that can be downloaded. Additionally, the file should be formatted so that it can be downloaded and synchronised easily with an mp3 player using a podcatcher like iTunes or Juice 
.
Creating a podcast can be as simple as recording a file and then putting it into your blog - Wordpress (and others) handle all the fancy enclosure tags.
However, for those with a little more finesse, you’ll be wanting to edit and compile sound files to create an engaging podcast show. Well fear not, because all is now easy in this world. The hardest part is in dreaming up a context for the podcast to address.
